England. It’s lovely.
For a long-time, faded seaside resorts and all too real experiences of Fawlty Towers hospitality seemed a lot less attractive than cheap packages to the sun.
But that’s all changed. With top quality restaurants, funky places to stay and scenery that changes every few miles, it’s easy to underestimate the pleasure of an English holiday.
The new Lonely Planet guide to England says “Fashion, fine dining, clubbing, shopping - England’s rates with the world’s best.” Who are we to disagree?
